How do I prepare for my tan?
Shave & exfoliate 12-24 hours before your tan. Complete all other beauty services first (nails, waxing, facials, massages, etc.) and make sure to rinse off before your appointment - skin should be clean and free of all products, including lotion, deodorant or make-up. Au natural is how we need you.

WHAT should i wear to my appointment?
Loose clothing. Look frumpy, we don’t care. Grunge is in. Our advice - skip the jeans, yoga pants, bra and bring flip flops. You’ll thank us later.
what do i wear during my appointment?
Ladies, you are welcome to wear as little or as much as you are comfortable wearing - just keep unwanted tan lines in mind! We caution against lace bottoms as they can give you spots - and leopard printed skin ain’t cute. We have disposable thongs available upon request. Men must wear boxers, briefs or speedos.
How long will my tan last?
Your tan should last 5-10 days depending on how often you exfoliate and how well you care for your tan. The best thing you can do to increase the longevity of your tan is to use our aftercare products.

Trust us when we say NO. We can custom-create the perfect shade for you. Welcome to the dark side.
how do I make my tan last longer?
Shower, exfoliate and shave 12-24 hours before your tan.
Avoid wearing lotion, make-up and deodorant before your appointment.
Wear loose clothing to your appointment. This is crucial to let your tan breathe & develop.
Moisturize and drink water - duh.
Use our aftercare products (available in salon) to really boost the life of your tan.
Can i wear make-up after?
If you really need to. Powders are your best bet but we suggest staying away from any face lotions or creams until your tan has some time to develop. Remember, the less rubbing, the better.
How long does the appointment last?
We get it, you’re busy. We make our appointments quick & easy so you can get in and out. A full-body tan takes about 30 minutes, a half-body takes 15 and a face touch-up takes 10.
when can I shower after my tan?
This depends on the formula you’ve selected:
Original - No shower for at least 12 hours.
Express - You must shower within 2-6 hours.
For express tanners, your tan technician will advise you on how long to wait before your shower. Your first shower post-tan should be no too hot and not too cold. Skip the soap and don’t rub - just let the color rinse off.
can i work out after my tan?
Absolutely. Just make sure to rinse off your tan well first and try to wear breathable clothing.
can i tan with my tan?
Yes! Make sure to wear a natural, oil-free SPF. We love Coola.
can i shave with my tan?
It’s best to shave before your appointment, but if you really need to, use a brand new razor and shaving cream. Be gentle! Shaving is a mild form of exfoliation and can remove your tan.
how do i maintain my spray tan while on vacation?
Ugh, we’re jealous! We highly recommend coming in for a quick bronzing session 24-48 hours before take-off. Unfortunately, sweating, saltwater and chlorine used in pools can cause your spray tan results to fade quickly, so here are your options:
Skip the pool. Stay cool in the shade with a frozen marg. Occasional toe-dipping is allowed.
Use our spray tan as a base tan to ensure you’re feeling sexy as hell the first time you put on your bathing suit and hit up the beach and pool as much as you want. Your tan may fade but you’ll likely be soaking up a lot of natural rays anyway!
is it safe to get a spray tan while breastfeeding?
Definitely! We just recommend wearing a strapless bra or breast pads during the appointment so your chest is covered during the application. This can prevent any transfer to your baby before your tan has fully set, and although we source the safest ingredients out there - the solution is still not meant to be consumed like food. Our Super Express option may be the best fit for you so that you can shower quickly after your appointment.
is spray tanning safe?
Spray tanning is endorsed by: The Skin Cancer Organization, The American Cancer Society, The American Medical Association, and The American Academy of Dermatology. The FDA has tested and approved DHA for use on the skin.

We get it, life happens. Please cancel 24 hours prior to your appointment, we’ll let it slide. Any later than that, we’ll charge you the full price of your appointment.
